BHUBANESWAR: Today a Re-union was organised between the batchmates of 1986 batch of Unit-1 Govt. Boys High School. This Re-union was totally set up at The Garden Villa Convention which is Situated at Gadakan, Bhubaneswar. Almost 60 friends joined the celebration with their families. Batchmates from Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and other districts of Odisha joined the celebration. The Function started at 9am with the school prayer “Ahe Dayamay Biswa Bihari..” which was followed with “Ki Sundar Aha Ki Ananda Maya” song. Then a prayer was done for the beloved friend late Taruna Prasad Mohapatra who passed away. Then further entertainment programs was done with music and dance which was then followed with lunch. The celebration came to an end around 5pm at the evening with a hi-tea. It was incredibly beautiful to see that after being at the age of 50s and leaving the school before 36 years also the friendship between them was still alive and lively and they still respect each other and their lives. The Batchmates decided to clean the school with their own hands in the near future and also planned to work on providing quality education and be a helping hand to 5T. This Re-union was mainly been co-ordinated by Lulu, Bala, Rajib, Ganesh, Kartik, Siba, Kitu and Gala. Other batchmates thanked and congratulated them for organising this major event and for bringing their friendship into life and also promised to meet in further occassions.
