Bhubaneswar, Dec. 29: A six-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on ‘Novel Materials and its Engineering Applications’ was held at the Institution of Technical Education and Research (ITER), faculty of engineering and technology of SOA, from December 18 to 23.
The program, sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning Academy (ATAL), was inaugurated by the SOA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Pradipta Kumar Nanda. It was organised by the department of Mechanical Engineering of ITER.
Participants from different technical institutions from across Odisha attended the program which was addressed by experts from national level technical organisations, research centres and industries.
The program was organised to facilitate exchange of ideas on issues and challenges faced in novel materials as well as its application in different engineering fields.
The subjects discussed in different sessions included MXene based materials for sustainable development, 3D printing of novel materials, stress management, waste to worth approach in industry for sustainability, new materials for automotives and novel adhesive materials for engineering applications.
