SENIOR ASSISTANT, O/O BEO, MATHILI, MALKANGIRI TRAPPED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE TAKING BRIBE RS.5000/-

Malkangiri: Today i.e. on 01.08.2024, a short while ago , Sri Rabi Shankar Patra, Sr. Assistant, office of Block Education Officer( BEO), Mathili, Dist-Malkangiri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.5,000/-(Rupees Five Thousand) at BEO office, Mathili from a Primary School Teacher (Complainant) under the said Block in order to process/finalize his enquiry file in connection with proceedings drawn against him.

The entire tainted bribe money has been recovered and seized from the possession of Sri Patra.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Patra, Sr.Assistant from DA angle.

In this connection, Koraput Vigilance P.S Case No. 13 Dt. 31.07.2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Patra. Detailed report follows.
