Accountant-cum-Programmer of District Education Officer, Nabarangpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance

Today i.e. on 23.06.2022 in the evening at 5.45 PM, Sri Bikash Sana, Accountant-cum-Programmer, O/o District Education Officer, Nabarangpur has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe Rs.1,00,000/- from a Complainant (Contractor) in order to process transport bills of MDM Rice to be distributed at the school points and to facilitate release of security deposit in his favour. The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized from exclusive possession of Sri Sana. Following the trap, residential rented house of Sri Sana at Nabarangpur and his own house at Umerkote are being searched from DA angle. In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS Case No 17/2022 U/s 7 PC Amendment Act.2018 has been registered. Investigation in progress against Sri Sana. Detailed report follows.
